The essay was about the different experiences that people had while texting and driving, and the impact that their actions had on society. For the most part, the results were devastating. An African-American family had a child that is near death, a cowboy can no longer attach horseshoes to the feet of horses, an Amish family was killed, and another woman's sister has lost the ability to communicate properly, among other things. As for how this impacted me, there was no change that I felt, though that could probably be due to the fact that I know what kind of affect texting and driving can create. I have personally seen the effects of texting and driving, and it has not been pretty. Basically, it is just as dangerous as drinking while driving, as you don't have your eyes on the road either time. Therefore I am strongly against such things, and I think that anyone who says that the human body was made to multitask should look again at the human anatomy and what it was made to do.
